Colour INKspiration – a new Blog Hop and Facebook Challenge Site

I have some exciting news to share; I’m on the Colour INKspiration Crew!

It consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators who create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.

There’s also a Facebook group for Stampin’ Up! ® enthusiasts who would like to share their paper craft projects using the colour combinations.

Here’s the deal – Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 9pm New Zealand Daylight Savings Time (7 pm AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group, and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.

And today is Challenge Number One!.

Members of the Facebook group can join the Colour INKspiration ‘Challenge’  if they wish to by uploading photos of their projects. Links back to their personal blog are allowed.
Make sure you click on the link below and ask to join Colour INKspiration, then add the group to your favourites and share it with your crafty friends so they can join in with the challenges too!

https://www.facebook.com/groups/349642308720075/

Hope to see you there!

And, without any further ado –  here is the first Colour INKspiration Pinterest Inspired Colour Swatch

That’s a whole lot of colour!

While we didn’t have to include all the colours from the palette – I had a project in mind that would suit having lots of colours – so I decided to go for it and include them all!

As I was using so many colours, I decided I may as well use all 3 of the stamp sets that coordinate so well with the t-shirt builder framelits.

First up – I’ve used the Custom Tee set for the outline on the t-shirt and for the sentiment on the inside of the card.custom-tee

And these are the framelits themselves – lots of options here!

Next up – the Tied Dyed stamp set created the coloured patterns on the t-shirts.

I think the Tied Dyed stamp set is going to be one of those love-it or loathe-it sort of stamps – and I love it!

And last of the three sets – the sentiments on the outside of the card – are from one of the FREE products you can choose during Sale-A-Bration – the Designer Tee stamp set.

I’ve use Sweet Sugarplum as the card base and Peekaboo Peach as the mat behind the t-shirts, This is a non-standard size as I wanted to highlight the tee shirts. Being long and skinny make them the focus I think. The card base is 15cm x 21cm, scored at 7.5cm.

Here’s a closer view of those t-shirts …

… and an even closer so you can see the way the Tie Dyed images work together.

These swirls are obtained through 3-step stamping – where each of the swirly stamps has a different colour and the images are layered. I’d have to say it took a few practice stamps to get the layers lined up. I think it was with taking the time to practise before putting ink to my card!

I only inked up part of the Happy Birthday stamp so that I could get Happy onto each of the shirts and Birthday onto the card front itself.

As this is a non Standard card size I created a custom envelope from the In-Colour Envelope Paper and my trusty Envelope Punch Board.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project for the Inaugural Color INKspiration Challenge Blog Hop.

I look forward to seeing what you create with this colour combination. Enter the challenge at the Challenge Facebook page HERE
