Sending Love Online

Once you’ve had a look through this week’s Blog Hop to see plenty of inspirational projects that the crew have created for you –  get your crafty mojo out and join the challenge at  CASEing the Catty Blog Hop and Sunday Challenge Facebook Group. if you haven’t already joined the group you – just ask and your wish will be granted!

You don’t need to have a blog to join in – just post your picture to the Facebook Group in the Album for this week’s challenge (CTC 114 – Sending Love). If you do have a blog – feel free to add the link! And of course, the challenge is open to all Stampin’ Up! enthusiasts – not just demos!

Remember CASEing means you take your inspiration from one of the projects – you don’t have to have the actual stamps, papers or colours that are in this section -you are taking inspiration form something. Maybe you like the layout and run with that.Maybe you like the colours in a project and use them in a completely new project. The possibilities are endless! There are more than 15 projects on this week’s pages (14 – 19) – so plenty of places to start!

When creating my project for this week (which is my Birthday Card to my daughter who turned 24 about 10 days ago) I started with two of the projects on page 14 – the Soft Sky Valentine’s card and the glassine gift bag. These are in the image above.

I merged design elements from both to make something new in Marina Mist – one of my daughter’s favourite Stampin’ Up! colours.

Here’s a close-up of the embellishments and that oh-so-cute mini envelope!

Even though the Sealed with Love stamp set and Love Note framelits have a strong Valentine’s theme – they are really suitable for so much more! I think they make a great Birthday card.

The cute wee wood elements from the Sending Love Embellishment pack are prefect to show love for all sorts of reasons – this time to our much-loved daughter! For this card I wanted to use designer series paper in the same colour so pulled out some Marina Mist from my Subtles DSP stack

But I didn’t stop there with my CASEing!

I’ve got card classes this week, and even though Valentine’s Day is not a big event in New Zealand, I wanted to have a card that allowed people to make a Valentine’s Card if they wished – but one that could be easily modified for other purposes as well. I would love it if us Kiwis adopted using Valentine’s Day to show our love – not just to our Sweethearts – but to all those we love and appreciate.

Here’s the Valentine option that class attendees will have

I’m loving the heart border that the framelit cuts!

And here’s the alternative card – achieved by using the reverse side of the Sending Love DSP stack and changing the little sentiment and adding the extra words of “Sending Love”.

The “hugs & kisses”  and “Sending Love” sentiments could still be romantic – but they could be for so many other purposes – a friend in need, a family member you haven’t seen for a while, a sympathy card, or just because … so many uses!

Here are the three Marina Mist cards all lined up together – birthday, Valentine’s and all-purpose – all very similar but by changing an element or two you can create a range of cards.

While I was thinking Valentine’s Day – I wanted to make a card for my sweetheart! So I decided to see how the layout would turn out in red, black and white. I’m happy – What do you think?

A perfect sentiment! Hopefully he won’t read this post before the 14th – though the sentiment should not be a surprise to him lol!

For all versions for this CASE – I’ve added a Mini Paper Clip and one of the ribbons from the Sending Love Ribbon Combo Pack

Sealed with Love Bundle

I’d have to say that the Sealed with Love Bundle is a fabulously versatile set – and is fabulously good value with 27 photopolymer stamps and 14 dies. You can purchase it online HERE or contact me by email
