The Challenge colours are: Powder Pink, Basic Gray, Sahara Sand, Sweet Sugarplum and add a green of your choice if you want to.

The crew is kicking off with a Blog Hop this evening –  so welcome – you’re at Jackie Noble aka CreativeJax

Those that know me well, know that pink is not usually my go-to colour but I did have fun with this colour combo. I’ve been working with the Memories & More card packs and some of this weeks challenge’s colours feature in those packs. So I decided to use them to make an envelope mini album.

It’s inside the mini pizza box!

I first made a mini album from envelopes with Kristine McNickle several years ago and have made different versions over the intervening years. Fellow Kiwi demo Delys Cram recently posted her version which was in one of the cute wee Mini Pizza boxes.  Delys’ project got me keen to have another go myself.

As the name implies – these mini albums are made by joining several envelopes together. To fit in the pizza box I’ve used the 3×3″ mini envelopes which I was very pleased to see return in this catalogue – I missed them! There are several great tutorials online – just google envelope mini album and you’ll find several versions!

The Sweet Sugarplum coloured elements on the outside of the box are from the Petal Garden Memories & More Card pack. The Sahara Sand element is from the Perfect Days Pack. It’s great how you can mix and match components from different packs!

I’ve matted the trimmed card onto Basic Gray – a layout I carried throughout the album. There is a Basic Gray stitched Satin Ribbon along with a hint of Powder Pink in the Finely Woven Ribbon in among the layers.

Here’s a peek inside.

… and with the lid open!

There’s a little ribbon tab to lift the mini album open – I used the Sweet Sugarplum stripped grosgrain ribbon for this. That striped ribbon is also the ribbon that is wrapped around the outside of the box.

It’s a bit hard to photograph the album to show the folding effect but here’s a collage to give you an idea.

Some of the envelopes had open pockets which have cards inside.

I made the tabs to pull out the journaling cards with the Everyday Label Punch

All the cards on top of the Basic Gray mats and on the pull out cards are made using cards from the Memories & More Card Packs. Mostly from the Petal Garden pack but a couple from the Perfect Days pack.

Below is the opened out front and back. The mini album itself doesn’t come out of the box as the bottom envelope is adhered to the inside base.

You can see in the photo above that on the reverse side I have matted the envelopes with Basic Gray cardstock. Additional photos can be placed on these panels.

Here’s a final collage showing some elements I haven’t already mentioned.

The top two show the front of the box in closer detail. You can see how I’ve trimmed some elements from the Memories & More cards to create the layers. I’ve also added a Sweet Sugarplum embellishment – one of the In-Color Glitter Acrylic Shapes.

I also use one of these on the top panel inside the box. All the layers of the label are made using the Everyday Label Punch – just different widths of cardstock. The Sweet Sugarplum cardstock of embossed with the Garden Trellis Textured Embossing Folder. I’ve also used that folder to stamp the pattern in Sahara Sand on the outside of the box. I did this while the box was still flat!

Keep on hopping along to see many more gorgeous projects from the Crew using these great colours. Next up is the talented Rose Packer. Check out her fabulous card!
