CASEing the Catty – CTC147 – Christmas on either side of the world!

Christmas is special no matter where you are in the world – and recording the memories made at Christmas is very special too!
CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to CASEing the Catty – Sunday Blog Hop.
Whether you’re joining the Hop here at CreativeJax with Jackie Noble, or if you’ve hopped on over from the awesome Fi Cobin – a big WELCOME!

This week the CTC Crew is CASE-ing pages 28 – 36 of the 2017 Holiday Catalogue! The Christmas Around the World Suite

I’m always impressed with the way Stampin’ Up! displays the projects in their catalogues – they present the products and projects in such innovative ways. This week I am CASEing the display for the Around the World Product Suite. I use bookshelves myself when I’m putting displays together and just fell in love with the cute little coloured ones on page 28 which you can see in the picture above.Christmas Around the World

The display was perfect to  CASE into a 12″x12″ Christmas layout. And the Christmas Around the World Suite was perfect to use for a layout of our Christmas from 2015 – when some of our family was in Canada and some in New Zealand!

Christmas Around the World

I just had to trim the heading out my catalogue as it was perfect for my layout!

The left hand side of the “bookshelf” is all about Beth and Roy’s Christmas in the snow – in Canada.

Christmas Around the World - Canada

Ski-ing, Ice Hockey and snow-covered trees, houses and cars.

The right hand side is all about my Christmas at the beach – in New Zealand.

Christmas Around the World - New Zealand

Sunshine, sand and jandals!

What a contrast!

I loved how the Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper has so many cute little elements that I could fussy cut out to embellish my page with – along with the wooden Christmas Around the World Embellishments. I didn’t have to fussy cut everything though.  The Christmas Lamppost Thinlit Dies not only coordinate with several of the stamps in the Brightly Light Christmas stamp set, it also cuts out wreaths, presents and bows from the Designer series paper! Such a lot of thought has gone into this product suite!

Here’s some close-ups!

The leaves you see peaking in at the bottom of the picture above are from an unraveled Boxwood Wreath Embellishment (in the Annual Catalogue). These come as round wreaths but you can unwind them to make a garland instead. You can see it more clearly below.

The stamped background snowflakes (Flurry of Wishes), and the fussy cut moose head, snowman and snowy lamp were perfect for a winter Canadian Christmas…

…while the fussy cut  Kiwi and jandals and the background stamped tree (Beachy Little Christmas) were perfect for a New Zealand Summer Christmas!

It was such fun looking at the photos from this Christmas and even more putting the layout together! I hope you enjoy it too!

Thanks Rebecca! Not all of the things on the DSP have a matching framelit – shame! A Kiwi and a Koala would have been awesome!

  4. Very clever to CASE the layout of the display picture Jackie. I love all the little details added to each photo.

  5. Oh I didn’t know that the framelits cut out the dsp! Thanks for the tip. What a fabulous page!!
