Greek Isles Achievers’ November Blog Hop

Snowflake Showcase

The Snowflake Showcase Promotion is running in November. I didn’t expect it to be quite so relevant to us in New Zealand at the moment from a weather perspective – but guess what – we had snow in parts of New Zealand yesterday!!!!

It’s summer!!! The weather is currently supposed to be a bit more like the images in our Blog Hop Header!!!

Greek Isles Incentive Trip Achievers Blog HopThose hopping today are all Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world who have met the requirements, and earned the amazing 2019  Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip – while everyone can try, only a limited number of demos (less than 1% of all demonstrators) reach the level required to earn the trip each year.. Of the about 50,000 demonstrators from throughout the world 445 earned this particular trip. I know there are some new faces who will be on the trip next year – Werhoo!!!

As Achieving Demonstrators, we hop together once a month to show you ideas and designs using current Stampin’ Up!® products.

We are a little later hopping this month as we have just had our biennial Stampin’ Up! event called OnStage.

OnStage & CentreStage

There is a three-day OnStage Live event each April and November in one location globally. At the same time there are several other OnStage Local events going on in numerous locations throughout the world. Attending OnStage events is one of my highlights of being a Stampin’ Up! demo – we get to meet up with team members we don’t often see, catch up with our crafty demo friends from around New Zealand (and some from overseas too!)

A couple of weekends ago I attended OnStage Local in Auckland and I was also invited to attend the Leadership event called CentreStage.

I’m sharing a few of pictures of these events before I share this month’s project.

CentreStage was on Friday evening and it is always so exciting to walk in for the first time and see how beautifully decorated the room and tables are.

CentreStage Decorations

As you can see from the above photo, CentreStage was a Black and White themed event – and we were celebrating an exciting anniversary – Stampin’ Up!’s 30th Anniversary!

I presented at the CentreStage event, what an honour to be asked – though a little nerve-wracking to do!

OnStage on Saturday was an exciting fun-filled day which I got to share with several of my thINK Creative Team Members – including two honourary members from Australia!

… and I also spent the day with my Upline Kristine. We don’t see each often so we love that we can spend time together at OnStage!

One of the fun things that Stampin’ Up! is known for are their generous Prize Patrols – and this year was evening more amazing than usual!

Excitement

Stampin’ Up! is also generous in several other ways. The achievements of demonstrators are recognised and rewarded in many ways – including the Incentive Trip which this Blog Hop is based around. Five New Zealand demonstrators have earned the 2019 Greek Isles Incentive Trip, four were in Auckland to be recognised.

Celebrations

I had team gifts and swaps and crafting items to take to OnStage – so of course Belle got to come along too!!

And I certainly needed her to carry home all the amazing gifts that I received at CentreStage and OnStage

Gifts

Can you tell that I had fun?!

What is even more exciting is that the next OnStage Live Event will be held here in New Zealand in April next year.

It is going to be incredible!

Any Stampin’ Up! demo from around the world is eligible to register – though of course there are not 50,000 places available! But you have to be a Demonstrator to get there – so if you’d like to join me at OnStage – join my team! Contact me to find out more – or click on the Join link below.

Now – my Blog Hop Project.

I’m featuring several products that are part of the Snowflake Showcase Promotion. These are a group of products only available in November – so that’s only for 10 more days – less if supplies run out! You can see them all HERE

Project – Black and White Sparkles:

Black and White Sparkles

When you first view the card it looks as if the image is stamped onto Sparkle Glimmer Paper – but when you look more closely the image is actually underneath the sparkle. That is achieved by first stamping your image, then applying a piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet, removing its backing and then covering it with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter. After shaking off any excess glitter, you are left with a stunning sparkling surface with the image under the sparkle.

I loved teaching this sparkly technique at my technique classes and at the Wellington Paper Arts & Crafts Show in October.

Here’s a close-up of the sparkle.

This photo shows the inside of the card which features a snowflake cut from the Whisper White Velvet paper. The Velvet Paper not only looks luxurious – it also feels  luxurious! It’s been so popular that it hs already sold out in several other countries – and there is not much left in the South pacific – so if you want some – get in quick – order online HERE.

You can see all the products I used at the end of the post.

Here’s a summary of the technique.

The photo below shows the first few steps – stamp, apply sheet and remove backing. You can see the resulting adhesive on the surface in the bottom right image.

Dazzling Diamonds Sparkle

After covering with Stampin’ Glitter and shaking/tapping off any excess, this is the result.

Dazzling Diamonds Sparkle

As you can see this technique is not confined to black ink on white paper. Play with other combinations. I have found that pale cardstock gives the most striking results.

Below is the Stampin’ Up! video about the Snowflake Showcase.

Remember these products are only available until the end of November – and only while supplies last. Some have already sold out in some markets but are currently still all available in New Zealand, tough supplies are dwindling. Don’t wait if you want to get any of these – they’ll be gone before you know it.

Thank you for joining us today – we are so happy that you are taking part in our blog hop.

Make sure that you don’t miss out on one blog as there are some incredible designs you are going to see today to inspire you.
